Meet Brianna & Suzanne
Certified Teachers & Moms bringing you insight on how to create a thriving home
Hi, I'm Brianna! I'm so thrilled to connect with you and help you along your journey to creating a thriving home! I'm wife to Bryce and mom to three beautiful (I know everyone says that, but if the shoe fits...!) kiddos. I have two sons, ages seven and five, and a daughter who is one. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, my husband and I were high school sweethearts. We got married at 19 and then moved to Texas right after college. While having and raising our babies away from the support of family and friends has been a challenge, we are also thankful that we had the opportunity to really grow as individuals, as a couple, and as parents because we had to jump in and figure it out ourselves. We're committed to reflecting regularly on our parenting journey and tweaking and changing our lifestyle to align with our vision and goals. We believe that this is a huge part of what keeps us thriving!
I'm also a certified Master Teacher. I'm proud to say that I've contributed positively to the lives of many precious kiddos who have entered my classrooms over the years. I believe that every child has tremendous potential and that if I meet that child where they are, then upward growth is inevitable! More recently, I've worked in a role supporting students with diverse needs to ensure that all students are set up for success and have the support they need to thrive. This has developed my perspective as an educator and has really helped me to be a problem solver who seeks solutions for all! I earned my undergraduate degree in Child Psychology & Early Childhood Education and then went on to earn my Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in Literacy Studies. I've primarily taught elementary grade levels, and I can definitely say that my strategies for the classroom spill over into the way that we manage our home. Having had exposure to so many different families and parenting styles has really encouraged me and my husband to be proactive about making sure that the decisions we make for our household are aligned with what we want for our family.
Hi! I’m Suzanne, and it is so exciting to be able to connect with you and help you create a thriving household! My wonderful husband, Al, and I recently celebrated 22 years of marriage, and we have two awesome kids--an 18-year-old son and a 16-year-old daughter.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and I studied education at Texas A&M University. I have over 20 years of education experience in both public and private schools in the USA and in England. I loved the years I lived and taught in England and enjoyed comparing the similarities and differences in the educational systems. I earned my Master of Liberal Studies from Rice University in 2010. The degree focused on the interconnectedness of the humanities, sciences, and social sciences and allowed me to develop my critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.
My philosophy of education is that each child is a unique gift to the world, and part of my job as their teacher is to help them realize their gifts and potential, while helping them to develop as a whole person. My hope for every child is that they will love learning so much that they become lifelong learners.
My husband and I approach parenting as a true partnership, and we consider ourselves attentive and supportive parents who encourage our kids to believe in their potential. We communicate on what we are seeing and make regular adjustments to meet the needs of our family. Our family is a strong team full of unconditional love and laughter. We cherish our closeness and our time together.
I believe in continuous learning and trying to be a better human being every day. I look for the good in any situation and love a great adventure. Parenting intentionally and creating a household where everyone thrives are some of my top priorities, and I look forward to helping you thrive in your hive!
